18 July-7 Sept 2006. To celebrate its tenth anniversary, the Barcelona City History Museum (Museu dHistria de la Cuitat) is organizing evening activities over summer in the Museu-Monestir of Pedrables and at the Conjunt Monumental de la Plaa del Rei. Highlights include a workshop tour of mediaeval Barcelona with tastings of typical dishes from the Middle Ages and wine at the Conjunt Monumental (18 & 25 July), classical music concerts in the cloister of the Pedralbes Monastery (27 July, 3, 17 & 31 Aug) and a expert-led tour of the 200 new pieces in the Conjunt Monumentals collection of objects from the 8th to the 13th centuries, with a theatrical portrayal of historical figures (9, 23 & 30 Aug). Also on offer are films and story-telling. Tours in Spanish and Catalan only. Admission 10-6, under-7s free. Booking is recommended.
