17-24 May 2006. Three modern classical dance choreographers are presenting their work on the Old Stage (Gamle Scene) of Det Kongelige Teater in Copenhagen. The programme includes La Stravaganza by French-Albanian choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, a fast-moving ballet set to the music of Vivaldi and a melange of electro-pop. Performed here by the Arc Dance Company, La Stravaganza was first created for the New York City Ballet in 1997. Music by Wei Du provides the modern romantic sound track for The Colour of Love, a new work by former choreographer for the National Ballet of China, Yuan Yuan Wang. This is accompanied by a revival of the poetic ballet Polacca created by Danish choreographer Anna Lrkesen to the music of Frederic Chopin for the Royal Danish Ballet in 1992. Admission Dkk450-Dkk70. Performances 17-19 and 22-24 May at 20.00.
