Written by Brian Friel, one of Irelands greatest living playwrights, the play tells the story of Frank Hardy, a faith healer, who tours the declining country villages of Scotland and Wales accompanied by his manager Teddy and his de facto wife Grace. Their experiences on tour and their fateful return to Ireland are recounted from the often contradictory point of view of each of the protagonists, making for a compelling and terrifying narrative. Described by the Irish times as brilliant and profound, Faith Healer is to transfer to Broadways Booth Theatre at the end of its Dublin run. Directed by Jonathan Kent and designed by Jonathan Fensom.
