Fashioning fashion: Two centuries of European fashion, 1700-1915

13 Dec-14 April. The Musée des Arts décoratifs examines the changing tastes in clothing in Europe between 1700 and 1915. The exhibition comprises almost 100 complete male and female outfits, mainly from France, England and Italy, from the 18th century to the early 20th century.

All the costumes come with their own accessories and are presented in thematic and chronological order, tracing the evolution of style, forms and techniques in European fashion.

The exhibition, which was previously shown at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in 2011 and at Berlin's Deutsch Historisches Museum in 2012, comprises the collections of antique dealers Martin Kamer of London and Wolfgang Ruf of Switzerland.

Mon-Fri 09.00-13.00/14.00-18.00.
