10 June - 5 September 2010. Spanish painter Ferran Garcia Sevilla is both a collector of images and a merger of styles. The wide-ranging subject matter of his naive, colourful canvasses draws on a mixture of the serious: his travels in the middle east, philosophy, and the not-so-serious: comic books and urban graffiti. To this mix he adds bitter political comment and the use of ancient religious imagery. The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) presents 42 paintings by this leading Spanish artist.
