30 June-28 Aug. The Martin-Gropius-Bau displays the entire manuscript of Franz Kafka’s celebrated novel The Trial, more than a century after it was written.
The exhibition displays the novel, page-by-page, in the order it was given by Kafka’s friend, executor and editor Max Brod. Written between 1914 and 1915 and published in 1925, The Trial is one of Kafka's best-known works.
It follows the story of a man arrested and prosecuted by a remote, inaccessible authority, which does not reveal the nature of his crime either to him or to the reader.
Wed-Mon 10.00-20.00. Tues closed.
