15 June - 2 Jun 2013. The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek presents a year-long exhibition of its French paintings which includes northern Europe's finest Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collection.
The 150 works on show, which date from 1850 to the beginning of the 20th century, are by painters such as Monet, Cézanne, Degas, Daumier, Courbet and Gaugain as well as the Dutch master Vincent van Gogh who spent the last four years of his life painting in France.
There is also a selection of French sculpture from the same period, the highlight of which are the Degas sculptures – one of only four complete sets in the world.
There are free guided tours at 13.00 every Sunday throughout summer 2012.
