18 April-19 Sept 2008. A programme of late-night rock, blues and pop concerts is on offer every Friday night in the Tivoli Gardens. Held on Plaenen, the large open-air stage in the centre of the park, the Fredags Rock concerts feature predominantly top Danish bands with a smattering of international names including Afro-American R & B, soul and hip hop icon Mary J Bilge (23 May) and former Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan band member, soul singer Michael McDonnald (13 June).
