17 Aug 2006. Talented young NY flautist, Jamie Baum, presents a one-off contemporary jazz event in the late-19th century surroundings of the Wesley Memorial Church in central Oxford. Nominated by the Jazz Journal Association in the category of "Best Flautist of the Year" for 2005, Baum has performed with various jazz greats including Kenny Barron, Randy Brecker and Paul Motian.

Her style covers classical, Indian and Latin music as well as jazz. For the Gothic Jazz in Oxford concert, Baum is accompnied by Argentinian jazz and rock guitarist Luis DAgostino, with Charlie Stratford on drums and Raph Mizraki on bass. Admission 8 concessions 7. Performance runs from 19.30-22.00.
