Featuring the works of Francisco de Goya (1746-1828), the "Prophet of Modernity" exhibition is the fruit of many years collaboration between the National Gallery Berlin, the Museo del Prado in Madrid and the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. In preparation for ten years, this premiere in Germany includes over 80 paintings and numerous graphics and drawings by the famous Spanish artist. The comprehensive exhibition focuses on Goyas importance as a Spanish pioneer of European modernism foreshadowing the interests of the 19th and 20th centuries.
