23 Sept-3 June. Exploring diverse aspects of the theme migration, the Stedelijk Museum draws on its own collection to highlight artists' views on migration and how the subject is presented in their work.
The exhibition also considers the personal effects of migration on artists and how they coped with, and depicted, the impact of displacement.
Works on display range from photographs of Dutch immigrants disembarking at New York’s Ellis Island at the turn of the 20th century to more recent images of refugees off the coast of southern Spain.
Tues, Wed 11.00-17.00, Thurs 11.00-22.00, Fri-Sun 10.00-18.00
