I work the street. Joan Colom, photographs 1957-2010

The Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC) presents the first major exhibition devoted to Joan Colom, one of the most important Spanish photographers of the second half of the 20th century.

The 500 images on show span the entire career of the photographer, who was born in 1921 and went on to become a pioneer of Spanish photojournalism.

The exhibition features some of Colom's best-known photographs including the black and white clandestine images he took in the 1960s in Barcelona's red-light district of Barrio Chino.

It also includes his less familiar work from the 1990s when he finally embraced colour.

Tues-Sat 10.00-19.00, Sun 10.00-14.30.
