22 Oct 2008-1 Mar 2009. Twice a year the Belvedere invites contemporary artists to display their work and to put it in relation to the gallery and its collection. After Gudrun Kampl and Brigitte Kowanz, it is now time for the young Austrian artist Franz Kapfel to present his creation in the baroque marble hall of the upper Belvedere. On the edge of the ceiling fresco by Carlo Carlone has Kapfer positioned four large mirrors, carried by a tin structure on a floor covered with blood-red foil. His work recreates the shape of the military tents of the 17th and 18th century.
