Jack Nicholson summer festival

30 June-31 August. The EYE summer festival this year celebrates the A-listed Hollywood actor Jack Nicholson by screening 30 of his classic films such as Chinatown, The Shining, Easy Rider and the restored version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Special events include outdoor film screenings, a talk show and a film quiz. And there is a treat for all fans of The Shining: the axe that Nicholson used to chop through the door in his acclaimed role as Jack Torrance is on display during the festival.
