13 Aug 2006. The beautiful grounds of Marble Hill House in Richmond once again host Londons Jazz Cafs annual summer picnic, featuring the funky afro-beat sounds of Nigerias Femi Kuti & the Positive Force, as well as North Londons popular six-piece electronica group, Zero 7. Other bands in the all-day line-up include afro-Cuban jazz ensemble Snowboy & the Latin Section, LA Funk crew Breakestra, Jazz-tronica specialists Koop and French retro-rock musicians Nouvelle Vague. The main stage is set up on the sloping lawns between the 18th century Palladian villa and the Thames. Spectators are encouraged to bring a picnic hamper. Admission 40.40-35. Gates open at 13.30.
