Jazz la Villette

30 Aug - 10 Sept 2005. For over a week, different venues in the La Villette complex of northern Paris and other venues nearby will swing to the sounds of jazz. But on top of that concerts, screenings and debates will also take place. These will revolve around two themes: a tribute to the legendary saxophonist John Coltrane (you'll have the chance to hear and see his son Ravi and his widow Alice play with Charlie Haden and Jack DeJohnette) and the blending of jazz with todays new musical genres: rap, electronic music and rock.
