Jean-Pol: Pleasure in movement

15 Dec-29 May. The current exhibition at the Belgian Comic Strip Center (BCSC) is dedicated to the work of contemporary artist Jean-Paul van den Broeck who is best known for the little baker boy cartoon series Kramikske, also known as Briochon.

The cartoonist, who goes by the first part of his name, is also known for other comic strips such as Annie en Peter, and Fred and Samson.

Over the course of his career, which began in the 1960s, Jean-Pol has produced more than 80 albums as well as adverts, illustrations and comic postcards.

Located in the city centre, the BCSC opened in 1989 and attracts more than 200,000 visitors annually.
