Jesus Christ Superstar

The New Theatre in Oxford stages a production of the groundbreaking rock opera which tells the story of the last week in the life of Jesus through songs such as I Don't Know How to Love Him and Everything's Alright as well as the more famous title track.

Glenn Carter plays the lead role while Tim Rogers plays Judas Iscariot and Rachel Adedeji stars as Mary Magdalene.

The musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice has been entertaining audiences around the world ever since it opened in Broadway in 1971.

A film version directed by Norman Jewison and starring Ted Neely was made in 1973.
