20-23 April 2006. The annual international horse show in the Dutch capital is hosted by the Amsterdam RAI. First held in 1958, this leading equestrian event has over 50,000 visitors every year. The Dressage and Dance Gala Finale on 23 April will be the highlight of a packed programme featuring show jumping, dressage and driving. Competitions include the Gold League International Jumping competitions for individuals and groups, the FEI World Cup Dressage finals and the pony racing Hartog Lucerne Trophy. Events include four-in-hand classes, clinics, shows and a special childrens programme. There is also a promotion village with performances by well-known entertainers, places to eat and sales of equestrian accoutrements. Admission 20 April all-day pass 20, under-14s 16; 21 April 25-20; 22 April 50-40; 23 April 40-32, under-4s free. Jumping Amsterdam pass 95-76.
