18-20 May 2006. The Friends of the Italian Opera Berlin English Theatre present staged readings of three plays by modern Canadian dramatists. First up is Naked West on 18 May, a tale of real men by Calgary writer Michael Green. Naked West" is directed by Virginia Preston, who also directs this mini-festival. This is followed on 19 May by Toronto-based Deborah Pearsons Table Talk, set in the cutthroat world of big business. Deborah Klein directs. On 20 May, Robert Chevara directs Montreal writer Franois Ltourneaus internationally acclaimed play Cheech or The Chrysler Guys are in Town, featuring a Beckett-meets-Tarantino plot. Admission 6.
