21 Aug-4 Dec 2006. Barcelonas resident American comedian Rachel Arieff comperes the successful Anti-Karaoke Nights at the Sidecar Factory Club every Monday night. Described as DIY, alternative, underground karaoke, the show lacks the competitive element usually associated with the genre. Arieff provides the costumes, wigs, props, humorous comments and over 400 high-quality versions of rock songs to choose from, including well-known numbers by GunsNRoses, Frank Sinatra, Queen, Depeche Mode and Janis Joplin. Currently attracting between 150-200 participants a night, the show is followed by a DJ rock session, Rrrocky Mondays, running till the small hours. Admission 6 includes a drink. Mon 22.00-01.00.
