27 March - 1 June 2009. Divided into various catagories, this is a comprehensive exhibition which concentrates primarily on the conservation and restoration of archaeological cultural artefacts from the collections of the National Museums in Berlin. Scientific developments in excavation, cultural history and natural sciencesare evaluated by conservators, scientists and restorers who explain their involvement in about 75 projects, using both historical and modern analytical methods of restoration. As well as copies of the original work, there will be a history of forgeries.
