Until 28 August 2005. Director Manuel Canseco returns to the Jardines del Galileo with a fun and uplifting show, 'La Decente' by Miguel Mihura, paying tribute to the great author on the centenary of his birth. But Canseco also has other reasons for putting on this show: "With his great command of stage design, Mihura focused less on psychological characterisation of characters and conceptual originality and more on action, twists in the plot and entertaining the spectator; things to draw the crowd to the theatre with the promise of intelligent humour and a good night. Mihuras taste for mystery and detective stories (Simenon was one of his favourite authors) are captured in several of his comedies, such as La Decente. Set in 1970, the play boasts a wide range of period characters, and the authors absurdist humour mixes well with the sleuth narrative keeping you on the edge of your seat until the very last moment.
