"Landscape and Still Life" by Conor Walton

27 February - 14 March 2009. Dublin artist Conor Walton's latest exhibition "Landscape and Still Life" is his fifth solo show on Molesworth Street's prestigious Jorgensen Fine Art. As the title hints, this exhibition continues his tradition of masterfully finished landscape and still life paintings. The landscapes are a mixture of County Wicklow country scenes and Italian citiscapes while his still lifes are non conventional studies of traditional and modern subject matter. Although still relatively young, Walton is already a well established and highly respected artist; the art critic Gemma Tipton has described his work as possessing a "shocking brilliance". He held his first solo show in the Jorgensen Gallery ten years ago.
