8-10 May 2009. The Jersey Liberation classical music festival is staged in unusual venues across the island during the island's Liberation weekend.

A central theme behind the festival is to showcase rising international stars in wonderfully scenic settings.

Among the young stars are Nicola Benedetti, the 2008 Classic FM Artist of the Year, and Leonard Elschenbroich, the only cellist supported by the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation and described by her as
