7 April - 15 May 2010. Director Jimmy Fay gives Shakespeare's dark tale a tragic Irish twist by setting the scene in Ireland at the time of Cromwell. The story, now 400 hundred years old, remains as chilling as ever. The heroic soldier Macbeth meets three witches who mysteriously reveal his destiny, which, coupled with the demands of his dangerous wife, lead Macbeth to embark on an evil journey of ambition and murder. Aidan Kelly plays the lead role while Eileen Walsh plays Lady Macbeth.
