18 July-27 January 2013.

Drawing on the Pitt Rivers museum's extensive collections, this long-term exhibition examines global and local trade, offering insights into ancient customs and artefacts from around the world.

Items on show include a solar-powered prayer wheel, a brick made of compressed tea, Venetian glass beads, Indian silk textiles, moccasins and Maasai jewellery.

The exhibition is part of a five-year project involving ten major European ethnography museums.
