‘Makers Our Story’ is an inspiring documentary about the UK independent film industry with revealing interviews from award-winning independent filmmakers and leading industry professionals. The documentary tells the story of the independent filmmaker’s journey, showcasing their talents and capturing the emotions of working in an ever-challenging industry. Featuring: Sacha Bennett, Sally El Hosaini, Silvia Lombardo, Matthew Williamson, Helen L Alexander, Simon Phillips, Nick Nevern, UK Film Council, NFTS, Rushes Soho Shorts, Arri, Sony…. Shortwave is an independent cinema and cafe bar based in Bermondsey Square, SE1 screening the best in art house, classic and independent cinema. Shortwave was launched in July 1999 with the primary objective of promoting emerging film and video artists through the medium of events and is pleased to support independent filmmakers.
