1 Jun-17 Sept 2006. The Austrian Theatre Museum hosts a multi-media exhibition dedicated to the legendary NY-born Greek opera star Maria Callas (1923-1977). Costumes, rare photos, film excerpts from Pasolinis Medea as well as sound recordings from numerous operas and solo performances are among the exhibits, alongside newspaper articles and newsreels documenting Callass turbulent private life. Stills from Verdis La Traviata and Bellinis Norma, one of Maria Callass most important roles, are also on show. A guided tour of the exhibition with coffee and cake includes a screening of Franco Zeffirellis Tosca (31 Aug & 14 Sept).Admission 4.50 concessions 3.50 family pass 9. Tues-Sun 10.00-18.00.
