28 May - 9 September 2009. The Amsterdam Photography Museum celebrates the work of Italian photographer Massimo Vitali with a retrospective of his most well known work. Vitali is famous for capturing images of mass tourism, typically large groups of people seen relaxing on Italian beaches. His takes his photographs using an old-fashioned wooden Deardorff camera and later digitally enlarges the images to form highly detailed panoramas.

Housed in a canal house on the Keizersgracht, the Amsterdam Photography Museum (FOAM) showcases a broad range of genres by world-renowned and up-and-coming photographers.
