4-28 July 2006. The Auditoris summer season includes performances by international chamber music groups, as well as two concerts featuring the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the Catalonian Youth Orchestra. First up is the Ysaye Quartet from France (4 July) playing the Quartets dedicated to Haydn by W. A. Mozart, followed by leading chamber musicians from the Czech Republic, the Prazak Quartet, with Brenno Ambrosini on pianoforte (12 July). The Kuijken Quartet from Belgium performs works by Mozart (14 July) and the Pavel Hass Quartet plays music by Eduard Toldr, Shostakovich and one of its own compositions, Quartet n2, op. 7 (18 July). Young Spanish group, the Quartet Casals, plays works by Haydn, Ligeti and Beethoven (21 July) while the closing concert is performed by the acclaimed Zukerman Chamber Players from Canada, playing music by Zoltn Kodly, Mozart and Dvork (28 July).
