8 March-7 April 2006. The Auditori de Barcelona presents 14 concerts of contemporary classical music in its Nous Sons Festival 2006. The international line-up includes the Ives Ensemble (18 March), Robyn Schulkowsky and Reinhold Friedrich (20 March), Frdric Blondy and L Quan Ninh with Evan Parker, Barry Guy and Paul Lytton (25 March) and Alter Ego & Pan Sonic (29 March). The Barcelona Centre de Cultura Contempornia (CCCB) also hosts a concert featuring Jean Marc Montera, Pablo Schavarzam and Ingar Zach on 17 March. The Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC) performs music by contemporary composers Nuix, Messiaen and Berio, conducted by E. Martinez Izquierdo, for the final concert at the Auditori on 7 April.
