24 May 2006. Unconventional English classical violinist Nigel Kennedy is performing with the Polish Chamber Orchestra in a one-off concert at the Auditorio Nacional de Msica. The programme includes Bachs concerto for violin and orchestra in A minor (BWV 1041) and his concerto for violin and oboe in C minor (BWV 1060). Four selections from Vivaldi include his concerto in A minor for violin, strings and basso continuo (RV356) and his concerto in B flat major for oboe and violin (RV548). Kennedy divides his non-touring time between his homes in Malvern in England and Krakow in Poland. He also works with the Polish jazz band Kroke. Admission 100-50. Performance starts at 19.30.
