15 March - 10 June. This exhibition follows the development of artwork from America's west coast from the greater Los Angeles region during the post-war period, including works by artists active in the area at the time such as John Baldessari, David Hockney, Ed Ruscha and Edward Kienholz.
Divided into three sections, the exhibition features some 320 works which provide an artistic insight into the politics and society between 1950 and 1980.
Also included are lesser-known abstract painters Helen Lundeberg and Karl Benjamin, ceramicists Ken Price and John Mason, and sculptors such as De Wain Valentine.
