4 Aug-5 Nov 2006. Around 70 artworks by the Dutch maestro go on show at the Sonderausstellungshallen Kulturforum to mark the 400th anniversary of his birth. Focussing on the period after the painting of his masterpiece The NightWatch (1642), the exhibition explores his work as a teacher, with paintings produced by his pupils and assistants from the Rembrandt workshop displayed alongside the prototype pictures produced by Rembrandt himself. As a corollary to the exhibition, two special shows are being held at the Kupferstichkabinett (the Museum of Prints and Drawings) entitled Rembrandt. A Vituoso of Prints and Rembrandt. The Draftsman. The exhibition is a joint project between the Museum Het Rembrandthuis, Amsterdam and the Gemldegalerie - Old Master Paintings, Staatliche Museen of Berlin. Admission 8 concessions 4.
