20-27 Nov 2005. Held annually at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Congress centre in Amsterdam, the 19th edition of this art and antiques fair, the Pictura Antiquairs Nationaal, offers the visitor quality and authenticity. All objects, furniture and art on display are guaranteed by 12 specialized monitoring commissions employing around 80 experts in various sectors. Apart from art and antiques from the Netherlands, the fair also boasts Greek, Roman and Asian artefacts, as well as ethnic art, contemporary and antique silver and glasswork, jewellery, prints, manuscripts and drawings. There are paintings from the 16th century to the present day, furniture from the 17th century to Art Deco, plus earthenware and ceramics, with a range of prices to suit every pocket. When you tire of browsing, you can take advantage of the RAIs variety of bars and restaurants. A catalogue is available for 15. Admission 12.50, children 5, passe-partout 35. 11.00-19.00, Sun 11.00-18.00.
