15 - 21 June 2009. This is the hundredth anniversary of the Paris Air Show. To celebrate this achievement, this year's event promises to surpass all previous shows in terms of providing a thrilling display of aeronautical acrobatics. The show is being held at Le Bourget airport where it has taken place since 1953; before that the venue was the Grand Palais. The aim of the show is to allow representatives from the aviation industry to view the machines on the ground during the week, while at the weekend the public will be entertained with a three hour spectacle in the sky. The most impressive and powerful aircraft in the world will take part, amongst them the Eurofighter Typhoon and the Airbus A380. Viewers can also enjoy stationary models of the latest commercial and military aeroplanes as well as classics from yesteryear. Full details are available on www.paris-air-show.com
