Paul Gauguin: The Breakthrough into Modernity
19 February - 6 June 2010. 60 works of art by Paul Gauguin are on display in the Van Gogh Museum. Comprising paintings, sculpture and ceramics, many of the works are on loan from as far afield as Washington and Moscow.
Some of the artist's iconic paintings on show include Be Mysterious, Breton Girls Dancing and Is There News.
Central to the exhibition is a series of 11 zincographs on yellow paper; known as the Volpini suite, they formed part of a Parisian group show in the Caf
