27 Sept-27 Nov 2006. "Peintres de la vie moderne" is the title of this major exhibition of around 700 new photographic works recently acquired by the Centre Pompidou. The show has been organized around three main themes: the representation of power, social and political reality and images of fiction and illusion. Held in the Centres Galerie Sud, the exhibition features works by internationally renowned photographers including Thomas Struth, Andreas Gursky, Thomas Ruff and Thomas Demand from Germany, Martin Parr from the UK, and Valrie Jouve, Eric Poitevin and Sophie Ristelhueber from France.
