13 April - 18 July 2010. This musical tells the life story of the French singer Edith Piaf who, against much adversity, rose from the abject poverty of her youth to become one of the most sought-after performers in the world. Famed for her emotive and powerful songs such as 'Non, Je ne Regrette Rien' and 'La Vie en Rose', Piaf (or the 'Little Sparrow' as she was also known) died of liver cancer in 1963, aged only 47. On the day of her funeral, tens of thousands of people lined the street of Paris, bringing the city to a complete standstill. Actress Elena Roger plays the lead role in this Donmar Warehouse production. Tickets available from the theatre box office.

Tues-Fri: 20.00. Sat: 19.00 & 22.30. Sun: 19.30
