17-24 Oct 2006. The Symphony Hall of Madrids Auditorio hosts the XI Ciclo de Grandes Intpretes featuring solo performances from internationally acclaimed pianists. The first of this months concerts has Arcadi Volodos from St Petersburg playing Schuberts Momento musical in C minor, Momento musical in A flat major and Sonata for piano D.625. He also performs Franz Liszts Annes de Pellegrinage: ``La Valle dObermann``Penseroso San Francesco dAssisi ``La predication aux oiseaux and Funerailles (17 Oct). Leading Austrian classical pianist Alfred Brendel then performs works by Hayden, Schubert and Mozart including Haydens Sonatas No 42 in D major and No 46 in C major, Mozarts Fantasia in C minor and Schuberts Piano sonata in G major (24 Oct). Admission 42-21. Concerts start at 19.30.
