9 Feb-7 May 2006. Over 254 drawings, paintings, sketchbooks and sculptures have been brought together for this exhibition at the Museu Picasso marking the 125th anniversary of Pablo Picassos birth. The exhibition, focusing on Picassos technical ability, is divided into seven chronological sections: Youth/Blue Period (1894-1904), Gsol/Cubism (1906-1909), Cubism (1911-1914), Classicism/Theatre (1915-1921), Classicism/Metamorphosis (1921-1944), Late years (1946-1972) and the plaster sculpture Man with lamb (1943). Organized by the Muse Picasso in Paris in conjunction with the Runion des Muses Nationaux de Paris and the Museu Picasso in Barcelona. Admission 5, combined ticket for permanent collection and temporary exhibition 8.50, discounts for unwaged, pensioners, students and under 16s. Tues-Sun 10.00-20.00. Mon closed except public holidays. May 1 closed.
