Posy Simmonds: Essentially English

12 June - 25 November. The Belgian Comics Centre hosts Belgium's first exhibition dedicated to Rosemary "Posy" Simmonds, the British newspaper cartoonist, writer and illustrator of children's books.

The show includes original art work and previously unseen sketches, spanning the entire career of the widely-translated artist author.

Simmonds is known for her long association with British newspaper The Guardian, and for poking gentle fun at the pursuits and accents of the English middle classes.

Her work has also been adapted into Oscar-nominated cartoons.
