Power and Protection: Islamic Art and the Supernatural

20 Oct-15 Jan. Major exhibition exploring the supernatural in Islamic art, comprising more than 100 works - many of which have never been seen in public - from Morocco to China.

The artefacts on display, which date from the 12th to the 20th centuries, relate to the interpretation of horoscopes and omens, as well as the prediction of the outcomes of battles and births.

Highlights include astrological charts, bejewelled amulets, dream-books and talismanic costumes.
