16 May-7 Sept 2008.The Kunsthalle at Halle 1 displays this exhibition of the pop culture movement of the Punks, focusing on the three cities of New York, London and Berlin, where it was widespread about 30 years ago. The Punk movement was a metaphor for revolt, which influenced music, fine art, style and fashion, especially affecting the look of young people at different levels and in various cultural spheres. In England it was mainly a style and fashion phenomenon, while in the USA and Germany there was a close association between artists and Punk musicians. This exhibition also displays flyers, manifestos, photographs and films, which testify to the extent of the phenomenon.
