1 June-3 Sept. Major exhibition of 120 drawings by Raphael spanning the short but stellar career of the Renaissance master who died aged 37, almost 500 years ago.
This exhibition focuses on Raphael's experimentation as well as the profound effect that his drawings had on subsequent generations of European artists.
Described as "astoundingly beautiful" by The Financial Times, the show features works from the Ashmolean collection as well as loans from the Albertina, Louvre, Uffizi and Britain's royal collection.
Highlights of the exhibition include Head of a Muse and Heads and Hands of two Apostles.
