RESFEST Touring Digital Film Festival

20-23 Oct 2005. The RESFEST festival, held at the Irish Film Centre on this the Irish leg of the tour, features a wide assortment of digital works including short films, music videos and animation. The main focus is on digital shorts of 1-12 minutes duration, "longform" lasting 12-30 minutes and feature-length shoots, in all manner of genres. The festival also features the latest interactive media and a retrospective and a programme of works by a selected director or collective yet to be confirmed. Past features have included ground-breaking music videos from Gorillaz, Orbital and Fatboy Slim. The Film Centre itself houses two art house cinemas, as well as a bar/restaurant and bookshop in a charming mix of modernity and heritage making it a popular drinking den for many Dubliners.
