Robert de Niro Retrospective.

29 June-6 Sept 2006. The Amsterdam Filmmuseum hosts a comprehensive retrospective of over 30 films featuring the Oscar and Academy Award-winning US actor and director, Robert de Niro (1943-). Highlights include Once Upon a Time in America (1984) by Sergio Leone (3-9 Aug), The Deer Hunter(1978) by Michael Cimino (17-23 Aug) and Taxi Driver (1976) by Martin Scorsese (28 Aug-6 Sept). Other Scorsese films in the retrospective include Raging Bull (1980), The King of Comedy ((1983), Goodfellas (1990) and Casino (1995). Among other classic films on offer are Bertoluccis 1900 screening on 1& 2 Aug, Martin Brests Midnight Run (1988) (16 Aug) and Francis Ford Coppolas The Godfather Part II (1974) (6 & 26 Aug).
