The world famous Royal Copenhagen porcelain forms the centrepiece of this annual Christmas event in Copenhagen, when seven of Denmarks best gourmet chefs lay the table for Christmas. Royal Copenhagens flagship store on Copenhagens central pedestrianised shopping street, Amergertorv on Strget, hosts this exhibition celebrating traditional regional Christmas meal festivities throughout Denmark, from North Jutland to Aarhus and from Funen to Copenhagen. Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufacturing Company was set up in 1775, and since then has continued to create fine china and porcelain bowls, plates, cups and figurines. The Christmas table settings this year centre on the pleasures of the table theme and are designed to delight the eye and also the palate.
