6 June-29 Aug 2006. The in-house orchestras of the RT, Irelands national broadcaster, perform lunchtime concerts every Tues at Dublins National Concert Hall throughout the summer. Presented by Liz Nolan, the concerts are also broadcast live on RT lyric FM and feature different soloists and conductors each week. Soprano Sylvia OBrien performs with the RT Concert Orchestra conducted by Laurent Wagner in the opening concert on 6 June with music by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Faur and Waldteufel. Another of the RT?s performing groups, the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Gerhard Markson performs music by Rossini, Donizetti and Mendelssohn with oboe player Aisling Casey on 27 June. The final concert on 29 Aug is entitled Listeners Choice and listeners and the audience will choose the programme to be performed live by the RT Concert Orchestra. Admission 8. Concerts start at 13.05.
